Miller. Miller is a parent who turned her passion for photographing children into
a successful career as a photo essayist. She is well known for her work on numerous
children's picture books, including TWINS and WHERE DOES IT GO UP?, a 1992 New
York Times Best Illustrated Book. Miller's new book is FRIENDS! (Atheneum Books
for Young Readers, May, 2000), an expressive photographic exploration of children's
first friendships.
