Dr. André Stein is the author of four books, including the internationally acclaimed and award-winning Hidden Children: Forgotten Survivors of the Holocaust (Penguin Books, l993). His numerous writings further include a five-part radio mini-series performed on the CBC network in Canada, numerous articles and oral presentations on topics pertaining to children at risk and traumatized children. For over a year, Dr. Stein has been writing a column on men and emotions in EVERYMAN - a Journal for Men. For 27 years, he was a professor at the University of Toronto where he founded the first Human Communications Program in Ontario. For the past fourteen years, in his private practice in psychotherapy, André has been devoted to the healing of fathers and their children regarding such issues as feelings, communication, the traumas of abuse, abandonment, neglect, guilt, etc. He also enjoys a solid reputation for his therapeutic work with sexually compulsive men and women. He lives with his wife and partner in psychotherapy, Vicki Rosner Stein and the youngest of their children in Toronto, Canada.


Dr. Samu is a radiologist practicing in Toronto. He has lived in Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Venezuela before settling in Canada. His medical degree is from the University of Toronto and his radiology certification from Stanford University. A short story Dr. Samu wrote was published in Gifts of Our Fathers (Crossing Press, 1994).
