Primo Low Fat Pasta

Serves 4

Ingredients:
8 oz. bowtie, mostaccoli or similar-shaped pasta
3 cups fresh vegetables (broccoli, carrots and onion are recommended)
One cup skim milk
4 tablespoons flour
2 teaspoons instant chicken bullion granules
12-oz. package fat-free yogurt or fat-free sour cream
6-8 ounces fat-free Mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons oregano
2 tablespoons basil
Parmesan cheese*

Directions:
Cook pasta in large pot in lightly salted water according to package directions. Add vegetables for the final three minutes of cooking time.

Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan stir together milk, flour, instant chicken bullion granules, garlic powder, oregano and basil. Salt to taste. Cook and stir over medium heat until sauce is thick and bubbly. Add yogurt or sour cream and stir thoroughly. Add cheese and stir thoroughly. Cook, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted. Do not boil. If sauce is too thick, add a little more skim milk.

Drain pasta and vegetables and place in large serving bowl.  Add sauce and toss to coat. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Garnish with parsley flakes.

Approximately 375° F calories and 6 grams of fat per serving.
