-
Felt

White glue
-
Scissors
-
Very small shells

Fine art sand

Acrylic lacquer or latex enamel
Directions:
Put aside lid, use bottom part of box only. Glue felt to the inside of box. Trim felt edges even with edge of box. Put a thin layer of glue on one side of the outside of box, and then cover it with a light layer of art sand. Repeat for the other three sides. Leave bottom plain. Carefully glue small shells over sand on one side. Let this side dry before repeating for the other three sides. Always let shells dry on the side you're working on, before starting on the next side. When shells are dry on all four sides of box, lay box with bottom flat on table. Carefully glue shells along the top edge of box. When completely dry, spray with acrylic lacquer or latex enamel. Your shell box can be used to hold all sorts of treasures such as jewelry, wrapped candies, potpourri, etc.
