Materials:

• Clay pot
• Small amount of air-drying clay or modeling compound
• Acrylic paint
• Paint brush or sponge
• Pencil
• Clear finish either latex enamel or acrylic lacquer
• Candle

Fill hole on the bottom of pot with a small amount of air drying clay or modeling compound. Draw designs on pot, and then paint. You may want to use stencils or a sponge instead of brush. When paint is dry and especially if used outside, spray clay pot with clear enamel or lacquer. When completely dried, set candle inside.
