Shamrock Pin

From Deb (USA)

Materials:

  • One sheet of green Friendly Plastic
  • A small piece of gold Friendly Plastic
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • One craft pin
  • White glue
  • Baking sheet
  • Foil
Directions:

Draw three one and a half-inch hearts on the backside of green plastic and cut out. Out of the green plastic cut out a strip measuring one-fourth inch by two inches. Draw and cut out a small heart out of the gold plastic. Line baking sheet with foil to protect baking sheet. On a baking sheet, lay the green strip vertically in front of you. Take one of the green hearts and lay sideways with the pointed end over the strip about a half inch from the top. On the opposite side, place second green heart point over the last green heart point. The remaining green heart should be place over the top of strip with it's point covering the other two heart points. Place gold heart over the three green heart points. Layering the plastic is important so that the pieces will melt together. Preheat oven to 250 degrees fahrenheit. Bake for two minutes or until melted together. Watch carefully. When plastic is melted take out of oven and let cool completely. The foil will make small crackling sounds don't worry about this. When shamrock is cooled (about ten minutes) carefully peel foil from back. Glue craft pin to back and let dry.
